Upon arriving in Cusco, you will be picked up by the agency’s staff and then head to your hotel. Rest at the agreed time, we will take you to begin the tour. First, we visit the Koricancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun and the main ceremonial place of the Inca Empire, which , along with the Convent of Santo Domingo, show off a fascinating combination of Inca and colonial architecture. We continue with the visit to the Cathedral of Cusco, with its wonderful altars carved in various colonial styles and splendid paintings from the Cusco School of colonial art. Then we go up to the heights of the city, to the impressive archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, one of the greatest works of the Incas, where there are gigantic walls of perfectly placed megalithic stones, and the best views of the city of Cusco can be seen, then we will visit Qenqo , ancient place of ceremonies and sacrifices, followed by the Inca military post of Pucapucara (or red stone) had specifically military purposes, it was the control point for entering Cusco and also served as a resting place ending the tour with Tambomachay, which was a center of worship and worship of water, the Incas asked the Gods for rain to arrive for their crops and for them to be fertile. Towards the end of the tour we will be in Pisac, an architectural complex of enormous terraces and finely finished stone temples, another jewel of the Inca civilization. In the Pisac market you can admire the best of Cusco crafts. We return to your hotel in Cusco at the end of a day of wonderful experiences.

We left your hotel very early, heading to the Ollantaytambo train station for a trip that is undoubtedly unique. (The trip is approximately 1.45 hours) enjoy unsurpassed panoramic views and photographic opportunities as the train approaches the town of Aguas Calientes. From there we will have a short bus trip that will take us to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu, considered one of World’s wonders.

As you stroll through the complex, you will be able to admire the impressive architecture alongside our guide who will share archaeological and historical information about the key areas of interest, sharing interesting theories about the history and importance of Machu Picchu to the Incas. The great views and magic of the place are incomparable. After a two-hour tour at a coordinated time, we go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and/or get to know the town a little. If time permits, we can visit the Mariposario, the Mariposas study and research center, where you can enjoy nature in its maximum expression, to finally take the train back to Cusco.
